SPLICE
This is a live recording of a sound art performance which was made using the 24.2 spatial audio system at Reforesters Laboratory in Brooklyn, NY. It has been remixed for stereo. This work explores contemporary truth-making in the time of digital and artificially intelligent mediation. Four cassette decks, a found VHS, an AI-generated voice over, 500-year-old text, and a barrage of social media are fed into a spatial sound system.
This recording contains both found and original material, all of which recorded to cassette and replayed, re-timed, re-pitched, and modified live.
The full recording can be found at this link.
